RUSTON, LA — The wait is over as the Bearcats officially release their 2026 Schedule. The Bearcats will kick off the season at Bayou Jamb against Evangel (date TBA), followed by non-district matchups against Neville (Sept. 4), Longview (Sept. 11), Edna Karr (Sept. 18) and Catholic B.R. (Sept. 25). A BYE week will follow the Catholic B.R. game before Ruston begins its district 2-5A slate. Ruston will open district on the road against Ouachita (Oct. 9) before hosting new District 2-5A addition, Peabody to Hoss Garrett Stadium (Oct. 16). The Bearcats will then travel to ASH (Oct. 23). The regular season concludes with Pineville (Oct. 30 HOMECOMING) before hitting the road against West Monroe on Nov. 6. The slate includes 2 State Champions from 2025 along with 2 Semifinalists from the 2025 campaign. Ruston is coming off of 4 consecutive trips to the LHSAA Division I Non-Select Championship Game....

Ruston Football Head Coach Jerrod Baugh announced the 2026 Spring Football Schedule this morning. Ruston will have 9 practices, beginning on April 27th, before scrimmaging Captain Shreve at Hoss Garrett Stadium. The Bearcats are coming off of 4 straight trips to New Orleans for the LHSAA Division I Non- Select State Championship. The Bearcats will look to replace key seniors on both sides of the ball but return plenty of firepower on offense and defense. Practices will begin at 3:45 each day....
